Today I heard that there was a minor nuclear accident in our oblast. We have 4 of the country's 15 nuclear reactors in our oblast, all of which are old Russian models. According to officials, there is no danger from radiation, but people here are saying that the radiation levels are higher than usual. So, as rain fell today, I was warned to stay inside and avoid getting soaked by the radioactive rain...
